Where To Find Treasures To Sell On e-Bay

My husband and I met on-line. He lived in Phoenix, AZ, and I was in Cincinnati, OH. So, he had to move here to be with me...cause there was no way I was moving there...too darn hot!
Anyway, David still had nearly ALL of his toys from when he was a kid, and all in really great condition, and he didn't want to move them to Ohio,so, hebegan selling on e-Bay.
When all was said and done, he made over $700 on a bunch of old GI Joes, Transformers, Lego sets, and games.
Then he got to Ohio. Now, we had to fit the lives of two30 year olds into a small 2 bedroom apartment. Kind of hard especially when gebined, we had over3,000 books, 2,000 CDs, and500 movies.
That's when I got bit by the e-Bay bug!First the books, movies and CDs! The all the duplicate kitchen stuff, and home decor, and clothes and....so on and so on.
I had heard it somewhere beforethat the average person has over $2000 worth of stuff in their homes, that they are not using, that they could sell on e-Bay. in our case, they were right!
So after I sold off all or extras,I began joining book, movie and CD clubs and making huge profits off those. The key to that though is to RESEARCH first! Make sure the item you are buying is selling, and selling well. And a lot of the times, really popular books that are sold out in stores can easily be found at book clubs.
Then I began hitting thrift stores and flea markets. The thrift store finds have been more lucrativefor us. It seems a lot of folks at flea markets these days know what they have and what it's worth and won't part with is for much less than that. Because of my work schedule I never get to do garage or yard sales, but I have sold things I got a yard sales years ago for insane profits.
I also buy stuff off e-Bay. Books, movies, CDs inlots or mis-spelled items, and re-sell them here.
So, last year, after two years on e-Bay, we begee Trading Assistants, selling stuff for other people, who don't have the time, or think it's too hard.
Our first big TA job was the estate of a wonderful 92 year old man from our Church. He was moving in with family and had to liquidate it entire home....where he had lived since 1964!
My husband saw the space first and said "he has some Jim Beam decanters, cast iron toys, and some pottery". I think, great, we can do that easy!
I get to the housethe first time and nearly pass out! He has over 300 decanters! Dozens of cast iron toys and pewter items! And the pottery...seven pieces of Rookwood, four of McCoy, three of Roseville!Over 18 Hummels, 3 Lladro, 7 Goldsheider! I could go on, but I think you get the idea!
By the end of the third month we were Powersellers! Something we would never be able to do with just books, movies, and CDs. It was great! It felt awesomeand gave us extra ingee during the 7 months my husband was out of work.
We have a few more totes of stuff to sell for him, and then it's back toour stuff! And we have a new rule in our home, if an item is not used in a 6 month period, it's outta here, so we have plenty of stock!
But now is a good time for Thrift stores too. Folks get rid of a lot before the holiday's, I guess to make room for all the new stuff they'll be getting!
So, fear not, there are TONS of places where you can find things to sell! Start at home and work your way out! And remember, just because you can't or don't use it anymore, it doesn't mean there's not someone else out there who can and will!
